An exciting opportunity has become available with Australia's leading gas & welding equipment specialist, offering gases, welders & welding supplies, PPE, workplace safety & industrial equipment. Our client, located in Mackay is now seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join their team in an ongoing Sales Representative role!
About the position:
As a Sales Representative, you will be in a customer focused role centered around creating the best sales experience both face to face and via phone calls. The role requires you to not only promote a full range of gases, welding, and safety equipment to a diverse range of customers, but also working within the team to organise the displays and layout of products in store, along with basic general warehouse labouring where required.
This role is the perfect opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, enjoys interacting with different people on a daily basis and also has an interest or experience in distribution.
Other responsibilities in this role include:
- Phone and counter sales
- High level of computer system use (SAP experience)
- Promotion and up-selling of new products and initiatives
- Stock management
- Dispatching and receiving of goods
To be successful you will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Previous experience in customer service or sales
- SAP experience highly desirable
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Industrial and safety equipment knowledge would be highly advantageous
