Junior Project Manager - Switchboards

We're looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our client's dynamic team and contribute to the successful delivery of switchboard projects.


About the Role

As a Junior Project Manager, you'll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and production teams, building your knowledge of switchboard projects and industry standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and reviewing detailed engineering designs.

  • Procuring equipment, ensuring the best product at the best price.

  • Monitoring product construction through the factory and liaising with production staff for efficient builds.

  • Administering contracts, managing projects, and scheduling tasks.

  • Controlling project finances.

  • Forecasting and reporting project progress to management.

  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.


What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A White Card and a Driver's License.

  • A Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a relevant Trade Certificate.

  • Exposure to switchboard manufacturing or electrical project environments.

  • An understanding of the Electrical Safety Act, AS3000:2007, and AS/NZS 61439.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Effective time management and organisational ability.

  • Basic knowledge of contract administration and procurement.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.

  • The ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.

  • A strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

  • A team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn and develop.

The Details

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 38+ hours per week, 8 am - 4 pm.

  • Salary: $70,000 - $95,000 per annum.
