About the role:
As a Medium Rigid Truck Driver with our company, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, ensuring the timely and safe delivery of cold and frozen goods to various locations within the Central Queensland Region. This role will include manual loading and unloading of goods, as well as regular interaction with our valued customers.
You will load up each day in Paget, Mackay and complete deliveries to locations including Yeppoon, Rockhampton, Airlie Beach, Emerald, Bowen and more as required. You will be required to keep the Truck with you between shifts and you will be working Monday to Friday with hours per day varying.
Key responsibilities:
- Safely operate a MR Truck to transport goods to multiple locations
- Conduct daily deliveries according to assigned routes and schedules
- Assist with manual loading and unloading of goods
- Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on deliveries and addressing all enquiries or concerns in a professional manner.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues where required
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid Medium Rigid Truck License
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver, preferably in transportation of similar products
- Excellent knowledge of the Central Queensland region and routes
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Flexibility to work varying hours as required for deliveries.
