Job description
The primary function of this role is to assist production, both with technical expertise and practically, in the electrical and gas section of our furnace manufacture department. It would be a requirement to develop a working knowledge of all aspects of furnace manufacture and be competent in commissioning and maintaining furnaces both in house and externally on site.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- The position reports on a day-to-day basis to the Site Manager.
- Daily electrical, gas and pneumatic fabrication of furnaces and parts.
- Provide technical knowledge to complete furnaces with both electrical and gas components.
- Undertake testing and certification of finished furnaces to ensure correct function before delivery.
- Use working knowledge of furnaces on site, as and when required, to commission, repair and maintain expected performance.
Experience required
- Electrical Trade qualifications
- Gas qualifications, experience with or willingness to learn
- Proven ability to design, diagnose and repair electrical systems
- Familiar working with electrical diagrams and illustrations
- Excellent communication skills
Qualifications, experience, or a willingness to engage and learn gas and burner systems would be looked on favourably.
