Our client is one of Australia's leading providers of fresh floral products, priding themselves on product quality and customer service. We are seeking to recruit an Innovative and resourceful Dispatch supervisor, with an emphasis on being proactive and positive to the day to day challenges of a busy operations

About you:

We are seeking a candidate who is committed to delivering outstanding warehouse and dispatch leadership, demonstrated through your professional and dedicated work ethic, taking ownership of your role and responsibilities, and developing an innovative approach to provide end-to-end results. You have a proven background in leadership, warehouse logistics processes, procedures, and best practice.

The role:

  • Lead and develop a team of dispatch workers and forklift drivers
  • Overseeing the outbound dispatch operation with all stakeholders
  • Ensure that necessary stock and other inventory are available to meet demand
  • Monitor staffing levels in accordance to daily operational requirements and budget
  • Maintaining a safe work environment for all staff and site visitors
  • Ensure the highest level of service is provided to internal, external customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage all staff members ensuring all procedures, deadlines and KPIs are being meet
  • Ensuring utilisation of staff and company resources
  • Responsible for meeting customer requirements on daily basis (Day to Day running of business)

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Previous experience within a supervisory / leadership role
  • Able to contribute and promote continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills; coupled with a flexible, trusted and respectful approach
  • Strong multi-tasking skills; with general warehouse experience within a team environment.
  • High level of accuracy and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Technical skills: experience with ERP systems and familiarity with some Microsoft office applications.
  • Previous industry experience within FMCG would be highly regarded.
  • A current forklift licence is essential.
