Job description
Our client specialises in harvesting, fishing and growing Blue fin Tuna and is one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. Maintaining the highest quality and workmanship through catching, feeding, processing and delivering to customers all around the globe. We are seeking reliable deck/fishing hands to assist in a casual short term project located in Port Lincoln, South Australia
Key Features of this role
- Port Lincoln SA location
- Monday to Friday
- 9/10 hours per day
- Overtime available
- Free accomodation available in Port Lincoln
- 2 weeks work potentially longer
- Full PPE paid and provided for
- Day shift
- Periods at seas required
Duties included but not limited to
- Fish feeding, processing and packing
- Vessel cleaning/housekeeping
- Deck machinery operation
- Loading/unloading vessel at sea
- High Pressure water blasting
- Repetitive manual labouring
- Net mending and rope work
To be successful
- Ability to stand on unstable surfaces
- Comfortable with blood and strong smelling odours
- Full availability
- Reliable transport to and from site
- Great attendance record and work ethic
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour
