Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating Mazak and DMG Milling machines with Smooth or Matrix control and possess a strong understanding of 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining. You will be responsible for machining, manufacturing, and modifying components based on detailed drawings and work orders, while ensuring the highest quality standards.

  • Afternoon 2pm to 10pm $42.91 ph
  • Permanent fulltime position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine, manufacture, or modify components per specifications using CNC machines.
  • Independently perform 5-axis machining and set up, control, and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines.
  • Accurately record work details and sign off on completed tasks.
  • Ensure conformity of all work submitted for quality inspection to layout sheets or drawings.
  • Utilize electronic workstations for cost tracking by logging on and off tasks.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery as required.
  • Provide on-the-job training and support to lower-level CNC machinists.
  • Maintain documentation to ensure continuity among shifts and communicate any irregularities.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and regulations while upholding company quality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably with Mazak Milling machines.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing techniques, processes, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with electronic workstations for task tracking is a plus.
  • Certificate 3 in Engineering
