Job description

Become the Business Development Manager for one of Australia's leading supplier of tailored shipping container solutions.

About the role:

  • New Business development
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients
  • Provide presentations on solutions and services
  • CRM compliance and pipeline management
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing, and negotiating contracts, integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships
  • Plan outbound activity, proposals and tenders tailored to customer requirements
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing, and negotiating contracts, integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Respond to incoming telephone/internet leads in a timely manner as required

Skills and Experience required:

You will have a technical sales background and a minimum of five year's experience in the transport or an allied heavy industry. You will use your excellent communication and negotiation skills to generate new business and build long term relationships with a new portfolio of customers. You will be passionate, driven and have a strong ability to demonstrate initiative.

  • Track record of developing and maintaining sustainable commercial relationships
  • Proven ability to prospect for new clients through cold calling
  • Proven ability to grow sales through developing new business and revenue streams
  • Experienced providing a technical and solution-based sales approach
  • The ability to plan and think strategically in line with organisational goals is of premium importance
  • Exceptional presentation skills / great verbal and written communications
  • Strong ability to negotiate and influence key stakeholders
  • Industry experience highly regarded but not essential
  • Knowledge of containerised tank equipment highly regarded but not essential
  • Proven ability to lead a successful Business Development teams advantageous
  • A current driver's licence is essential
  • Out of hours work, regular intrastate and interstate travel
