A highly specialised Mechanical and Structural Engineering Company providing a diverse range services across Australia and overseas. Servicing a number of Industry sectors including Defence, Industrial, Mining, Marine, Oil & Gas and Water Technology.
Your New Role
To be committed and work apart of our team, being able to adapt to a ever changing environment and being able to work effectively with minimal supervision out of your new workshop based in Rozelle
- Reading and interpreting drawings or taking verbal instructions to mark out, cut, weld and assemble steel
- Perform welding in accordance with approved weld procedures and codes
- Interpret welding symbols to ensure correct welding techniques
- Carry out basic maintenance of welding machine and equipment to keep a clean and safe work area; and
- Follow all workshop and site safety requirements
About You
- Previous workshop experience as a boilermaker or welder
- Full knowledge of all aspects of fabrication including structural, plate work, piping with carbon steel & exotic materials
- FCAW/GTAW welding experience
- Cert III Heavy Fabrication
- 2+ years' post trade experience
- Experience in the Naval industry highly desirable however not essential
