Job description

Based in Salisbury our client is an industry-leading, Australian owned company who manufacture hold down bolts as well as fabricate light to heavy steelwork.

We are seeking an experience 2nd class Welder. The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in passing weld tests and exhibit a strong commitment to craftsmanship. Additionally, proficiency in interpreting workshop drawings. The primary scope of work involves welding materials utilised in transportation infrastructure, notably reo bars and pile cages for both transport and main road projects.

  • Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm
  • Friday 6am to 12pm
  • Ongoing position

Responsibilities:

  • Welding and assemble metal structures and components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct welding, cutting, and shaping of metal pieces using various tools and equipment.
  • Cutting material into appropriate lengths
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards throughout all tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve project goals efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years welding experience
  • Ability to pass Weld Testing
  • Proven experience in welding techniques.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and work independently to complete assigned tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
