Job description
Our national client who has more than 2,800 employees, 100 operations and 1,300 vehicles across Australia, are urgently seeking Truck Drivers with various licences to start asap. This role will give is an immediate start with attractive hourly rate.
Key duties include:
Operation of side arm loader waste trucks
Collection of Waste bins at customer sites
Providing a high level of service to customers
Operating a Front End Lift (FEL), Roll On Roll Off (RORO) and Rear Lift (REL)Vehicles (Training Provided)
Correctly record all data based on collections
Understanding the company's value for safety and achieving no harm to the environment
Basic maintenance of vehicle, including vehicle inspections and pre-start safety checks.
To be considered, you will need to demonstrate:
Current HR class licence
Previous aligned operational experience (preferably within waste collections or an aligned environment).
Side arm experience preferred
Previous relevant heavy vehicle driving experience
Ability in the use of a two-way radio
Proven commitment to safe operation of vehicles.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Canberra area.
If successful, you will be required to pass a medical assessment and get immunisations against Hepatitis A and B before performing any work within the role.
