About our client:
Our client is one of Australia's leading Gas & Welding equipment specialist. Offering gases, welders & welding supplies, workplace safety industrial equipment and more! Located in Rocklea, they are now searching for a Maintenance Fitter to join their team in an ongoing basis.
About the role:
If successful, you will be required to work a Monday to Friday roster, completing 40 hour weeks on average in a workshop based position. This will typically include service and maintenance of all filling systems, DA production systems, cylinder assets along with buildings and grounds Mechanical equipment.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering fair value service on time, to budget and regulatory standards
- Continuously review service with production to ensure you provide safe and high-quality services and meet or exceed agreed obligations
- Successful implementation of global initiatives, including technology, process and people competency to deliver excellent services to Production
- Increase Maintenance efficiencies to agreed targets for Cost and Service
Requirements:
- Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate - Australian recognised qualifications required
- Confined Space + Working at Heights + Forklift Licence highly desirable
- Experience in Gas related industry advantageous
- Experience with compressors, pumps & high-pressure gas reticulation systems
- Drivers Licence and reliable transport
- Must pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
- Working Knowledge of Australian standards, ability to understand codes of practice and other regulatory codes of the trade.
- Ability to work both a part of a team and autonomously where required
- Strong communication skills along
- Leadership qualities and ability to take initiative in the workplace
- Positive attitude and forward thinking
