Job description
LSA Health are looking for experienced Food Service Assistants and Cooks to join our growing hospitality care team, working at various aged care facilities in the Brisbane North/Morton Bay region.
We currently have vacancies for Day, Afternoon shifts and weekends.
Responsibilities;
- Food preparation, food storage, food hygiene, distribution and serving meals
- Maintain high standard of service excellence to consumers in the delivery of daily meals / morning & afternoon teas /supper
- Collecting meals from main kitchen to serve to residents in dining areas
- Familiar with Dietary requirements and modified diets
- Maintain Food Safety Standards while delivering food services to the Consumers
- Ability to handle and use basic cleaning chemicals safely
- Maintain basic documentation for compliance and records
- Contribute to the production of food items such as therapeutic diets, special meals etc.
- Follow recipe cards and prepare defined menus in a timely manner.
Requirements;
- Aged Care experience
- Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent qualification
- Proven communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with all levels of the organisation
- Knowledge of contemporary care practices
- A current police check or the ability to obtain
- Proof of right to work in Australia
- Evidence that you have had the Covid19 Vaccinations
- Evidence that you have had or willing to obtain the 2021 Flu Vaccination
