Job description

Our busy demolition client based in Brisbane is seeking a hardworking and skilled Demolition Excavator Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy machinery, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and completing paperwork as required. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering an excellent pay rate, overtime opportunities, a weekly pay cycle, and a great work environment.

Shift times and details:

Shift start times will vary depending on the project but generally will be an early start with 8 - 10 hour shifts Monday - Friday. Please note some Saturdays are required.

Please also note that the successful candidate will be floating from site to site across Brisbane so must be okay with travel - you will receive a travel allowance.

Responsibilities:

Operate heavy machinery such as excavators to perform demolition work.
Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal working order.
Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure the safety of yourself and others on site.
Complete paperwork accurately and promptly.
Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Skills:

High level of technical skill in operating heavy machinery, especially excavators.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Qualifications:

Current Queensland driver's license.
Construction industry induction card.
RTO qualifications for operating an excavator.
Minimum 2 years' experience in demolition work.
Reliable transport.
