Support Worker - Mental Health and Disabilities

LSA Professional Services are seeking energetic, passionate and committed individuals to be part of our growing Care team. You will be responsible for helping and supporting individuals living with Mental Health and disabilities assisting them in independent living, social and community activities.

Type of work varies from aged care facilities, SIL homes and community care services.

Being a LSA care member you will have the ability to work in different facilities, locations, long or short term contracts, fixed term contract in regional or city based positions with flexible working arrangements.

We are looking for people who have a passion in helping others to gain their independence, building trusting relationships to empower and inspire enjoyment of life and uncover their strengths to live their dreams.   

You must have a high standard and exceptional level of patient personal care, excellent communication and relationship building skills, hoisting, assist in medication, domestic duties, meal prep and have supported people in their own homes or facilities.

Requirements:

• CERT III or IV in Disability/Mental Health/Community Services or equivalent
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
• Current Full Driver’s License and reliable care
• Current Criminal History Check
• Smart phone
• Availability to work a variety of shift
• Yellow card
• Must have an in-depth understanding of WHS procedures
